Joan Jennings

Joan Lois Jennings, 71, of Mansfield, died Monday, March 21, 2005, at her home after a two- year illness. Born January 31, 1934, she was the daughter of Albert and Juanita Williams Watts. She attended First Assembly of God church and enjoyed spending time with her family. Joan enjoyed cooking for family functions and everyone enjoyed her annual luau and holiday get-togethers.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Jennings; three daughters and sons-in-law, Susie and Charlie Johnson, Debbie and Jim Lawson and Angela and Kelly Rose, all of Mansfield; son and daughter-in-law, Henry and Cindy Jennings of Mansfield; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Rufus and Alice Watts of Mansfield; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Sue and Leroy Hall, Mary Yates of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gene Watts; and sister, Lula Birchfield.

Friends may call at the Ontario home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Wednesday, March 23 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at First Assembly of God, conducted by Rev. Thomas Blair. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
