
John Fritz, 67, of Mansfield, died at home Thursday morning, August 11, 2005. Born May 5, 1938 in Mercerburg, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Charles F. and Alberta E. Shoemaker Fritz. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Fritz retired from Consolidated Freight Ways as a truck driver. He was a member of the Mansfield Moose, the V.F.W Post #9943, the sons of Herman, and the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by two daughters, Pam Fritz, and Debbie Bivens, both of Mansfield; three brothers and sister-in-law, Coey W. and Mary Lou Fritz, Harry F. Fritz, and Charles E. Fritz, all of Pennsylvania; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Amy M. and Paul Hopkins, and Rosalie Stetler, all of Pennsylvania; and special friends, Ellen Karsmizki, Jason Artrip, and Jeff Hess, all of Mansfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Sharon Fritz; one brother, Glenn Fritz; and three sisters, Evelyn Antle, Mary Ann Fritz, and Helen Stoner.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2005 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors with Rev. Matthew Pond officiating. Masonic Services will be held prior to the funeral, at 7 p.m. Friends may call one hour prior to the service, from 6 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial in Mansfield Cemetery will be at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cleveland Clinic.
