John Jay Tuttle, 86, of Shelby, died late Thursday evening, February 22, 2007, at Heritage Care Center. Born September 23, 1920, in Chesterville, he was the son of Charles and Josephine Metzger Tuttle. John was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed being in nature and working on cars.
He is survived by three sons, Fred Tuttle of Shelby, John Tuttle of Shiloh and Jim Jackie Tuttle of Ashland; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Leroy McFadden; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clara in March 1999; grandson, John 'Bub' Tuttle III; parents; five brothers; and three sisters.
