Johnnie Brown

Johnnie L. Brown, 63, passed away Thursday morning, April 7, 2011 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born September 4, 1947 in Elliott County, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Watt and Ruby Johnson Brown. Johnnie attended Morehead State University. He retired from Ohio Brass where he worked in the casting department. A man of integrity and honesty, he adored his family and his greatest joy was in spending time with each member. He enjoyed taking care of his family.

He is survived by a daughter, Ruby Brown of Mansfield; two sons, Ron Elizabeth Brown of Medina and Jeff Cheryl Brown of Ft. Worth, TX; two grandchildren, Evelynne Brown and Adam Alobidi; a brother, Chester Ellen Brown of Ashland, KY; brother-in-law, Ken Parker of Mansfield; two nephews, Rick Parker of Ontario, OH and Eric Brown of Ashland, KY; and a niece, Jennifer Brown of Ashland, KY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Manning Brown in 1988; and two sisters, June Parker and Olive Brown.

Friends may visit from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2011 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. Additional visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 W. Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky. Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Globe Funeral Chapel with burial in Brown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
