Joseph LeRoy Glass, 70, of Mansfield, passed away late Friday evening, November 3, 2017, at his home. He was born April 30, 1947, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Julius Gordon Glass and Maggie Mae (Beasley) Glass.
He was a graduate of Mansfield Senior High School. Joe worked at Therm-O-Disc as a machinist for many years. He loved to play guitar and sit patiently waiting to catch that one big fish. In his younger years, he attended Bellville Church of God.
Joe is survived by three children, Joseph David Glass, Joseph John Glass and Lisa Kay Collins; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three siblings, Julius "Bud" Glass, Virgie Arispic, Rose Lee Paulson; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Laura Geneva Peters.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, November 16, 2017, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A memorial service will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest in Beasley Cemetery at a later date.
