
Judith A. Brumenschenkel, 74, of Mansfield, died Saturday, May 30, 2009 at MedCentral Hospital. Judith had lived previously at Piper Road and then the last two years at Elmcroft of Ontario. Born June 3, 1934 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of Harry and Joan Schwartz Ross. She retired in 1998 after 30 years working as the librarian for Wooster Heights Elementary. Judith was a member of the Mayflower Congregational Church and enjoyed reading, playing euchre with friends, shopping and spending time with her granddaughters.
She is survived by her son, Jack Karen Brumenschenkel of Shelby; granddaughters, Morgan and Rachel Brumenschenkel of Shelby; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Dunkle and Helen Rick Riggenbach, all of Mansfield, Marilyn Kemp of Alabama, and Pat Brumenschenkel of Vermillion; brothers-in-law, Eldon Anita Brumenschenkel of Mansfield and Tom Lillian Brumenshenkel of Bellville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Brumenschenkel, whom she married December 12, 1959.
Friends may call Tuesday, June 2, 2009 from 4-7 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Dr. Gary Wilson. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Mayflower Congregational Church, 548 N McElroy Rd, Mansfield.
