
Judith M. 'Judy' Nickell, 59, of Mansfield died late Tuesday evening, March 4, 2003 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital due to an extended illness. Mrs. Nickell was born August 24, 1943 in Dayton, Ohio to the late John and Betty L. Werling Girvin and was a Mansfield area resident most of her life. Judy was a very active member of Diamond Hill Cathedral.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Greg Rodenberger of Mansfield; granddaughter, Erica; grandson, Michael; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Barbara and Jimmy Templeton of Scottsdale, Arizona, Mary Alexander of Mesa, Arizona, Janice Acosta of California, Robin and Chris Hill of Lincoln, California, and Ann and John Healy of Columbus, Ohio; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Houseman of Mansfield, Fern Frontz of Lucas, Ohio and Judy Hatzfeld of Miamisburg, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Nickell in September 1989; son, James Nickell; two brothers, Michael Hatzfeld and Gary Girvin; and a sister, Beverly McGinnis.
Friends may call at the Diamond Hill Cathedral one hour prior to funeral services that will be conducted by Rev. Chuck Carrier, Friday, March 7 at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Diamond Hill Cathedral. Wappner Funeral Directors assisted the family with arrangements.
