

Kari Lynn Weiss, 43, of Butler, died Sunday, March 17, 2013 at her home. Born October 26, 1969 in Mansfield, she was the beloved daughter of James and Karen (Pittenger) Fox. Kari was a 1988 graduate of Lucas High School and a 1991 graduate of North Central State College. She had worked as a RN and most recently had been employed by Swan Cleaners. She was a member of Woodville Grace Brethren Church and was a creative decorator. Kari was a caring and loving mom to her three daughters and loved spending time with them going to their many sporting events.
She is survived by her daughters, Mallory, Megan, and Macy Weiss, all of Lexington; parents, James and Karen Fox of Perrysville; sister, Melissa (Greg) Sauder of Bellville; brother, James B. Fox, Jr. of Loudonville; nieces and nephews, Daniel, Courtney, Brittany, Caleb, and Abby Sauder; maternal uncle, William (Linda) Pittenger of Lexington; maternal aunts, Kay (Edward) Ault of Ontario and Julie Willacker of Plymouth; paternal uncle, Alfred (Jean) Fox, Jr. of Lucas; paternal aunts, Jaselene Covington of Frankfort, KY, Mary Lou Lamp, Regina Galco, and Marla (Jerry) Kiser, all of Mansfield; former sisters-in-law and good friends, Molly, Jamie, and CiCi; former husband, Mark Weiss; and numerous cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Alfred and Lilly (Murray) Fox; maternal grandfather, Warren Pittenger; and maternal grandmother, Helene Humphry Wilson.
Friends may call Friday, March 22, 2013 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Diamond St. Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Masnfield. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Gene Witzky. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
