Katharina Webel

Katharina Schleicher Webel, 90, formerly of Mansfield died in Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, California. Katharina went to her Heavenly home on Friday, July 5, 2002. She was born October 15, 1911 in Ruma, Yugoslavia. She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church.

She is survived by seven sons and daughters-in-law, Reinhardt and Arlene Webel of Akron, Oh., Karl and Grace Webel of Mechanicsville, Va., Adolf and Linda Webel of Akron, Rev. Robert and Marcia Webel of St. Petersburg, Fla., Dr. Jacob and Mary Webel of Grand Junction, Col., Daniel and Nancy J. Webel of Milford, Oh.and Dr. Richard and Connie Webel of Columbia, Mo.; four daughters and sons-in-law, Elisabeth and Albert Yovichin of Canal Fulton, Oh., Theresa and Charles Pavkov of Mansfield, Oh., Katherina and Larry Zimmer of Corona, Cal., and Christina and Cedric Messner of Phoenix, Ariz.; forty-seven grandchildren; and eighty-one great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jakob Webel in 1989; and two daughters, Hildegard in 1943 and Rosalia Whiting Wilde in 2001.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, July 11 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Apostolic Christian Church, 1332 Middle-Bellville Road on Friday at 10:30 a.m. and conducted by the Apostolic Christian Church. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
