Kathryn B. Rice Scott, 85, of Bellville, died Monday afternoon, April 21, 2003 at the Sterling House following a brief illness. Mrs. Scott was born March 13, 1918 in Cardington, Ohio residing in the Mansfield/Bellville area since 1934. She retired from White Westinghouse after 34 years of service. Mrs. Scott was an active member of Gospel Assembly on Trimble Rd.
Surviving are one daughter-in-law, Judy Scott of Fairfield, Ohio; two grandsons and their spouses, Bryan and Kim Scott and Todd and Stephanie Scott; one great-grandson, Zachary Scott.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alba H. and Chloe A Rice; her husband in 2001, Fred W. Scott; one son, Larry Scott; four brothers, Dellas, Hobart, Pearl and Byron; and two sisters, Zella and Wanda.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Wednesday, April 23, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home conducted by the Rev. Wayne Harris. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Gospel Assembly on Trimble Rd.
