Kathryn "Kathy" Anna Ward

Kathryn Anna Ward went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was 81. Kathy was born on November 21, 1935 in Youngstown, Ohio, and had lived for the past 44 years in Mansfield, Ohio. Up until her death, Kathy worked as a realtor at Hamilton & Associates. She especially loved selling homes to first time buyers who really needed her assistance. Though she enjoyed her work, Kathy was most proud of her role as loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family knew her love for them each and every day of their lives.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ronald B. Ward; her children, Wendy Ward of Yardley, PA, Ronald B. Ward II (Barbara) of Columbus, and Karen W. Procell (Andrew) of Washington Crossing, PA; her grandchildren, Sean Sturts, Kellin Sturts (Tarin), Randi Peacock (Jerred), Leviticus Drye, Grace Drye, Ashley Ward, Taylor Ward, Katherine Procell and Jocelyn Procell; her great- grandchildren, Lillie Sturts and Sofia Sturts; her sister, Iris Gerakios and numerous cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Darla S. Ward; her parents, Lester & Anna Kerr; her father and mother in law, Roy and Vera Ward; her brothers, Paul Kerr and David Kerr; and her sisters, Daisy Weygant, Violet Globun, Lilly Globun and Rose Wakefield.

Kathy will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her, but she would want everyone to smile remembering the good times, her amazing Buckeyes and even more amazing whistle, and most of all, her fierce and blinding loyalty and love for all she held close.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Berean Baptist Church, 2145 Middle Bellville Road, Mansfield. The memorial service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in Kathy's memory to Harbor House of Central Florida.
