He is survived by his parents, William and Janet Herdman, of Mansfield; his brother, Rich (Lisa) Herdman of Pflugerville, Texas; and sister, Emily (David) Stoll of Columbus, Ohio. He was a beloved uncle to Rick, Tori, and Drew Herdman along with Madeleine, Ben, Emma, and Clara Stoll.
Keith grew up in Mansfield, attending and graduating from Mansfield Christian School in 1990, where he learned the skills needed to volunteer for the school radio station WVMC for many years.
He was employed at Hawkins and then Kroger's grocery stores in Mansfield for over 25 years where his smile, friendliness, and encouragement blessed both his regular customers and co-workers.
Keith portrayed God's creation through his love of photography. He masterfully waited for the perfect shot, capturing many beautiful images of landscapes around the country but always coming back to his favorite place, Clear Fork Reservoir. He was also the owner of Through the Lens Photography where he shared his images with all.
Keith always loved music, finding beauty in playing piano by ear and singing along with his innate perfect pitch. He sang with Mansfield's Fun Center Chordsman. He also was an accomplished harmonica player, playing in several musical groups and at his church, Crossroads Church.
Keith was a man of faith and devoted his life to serving Christ. Near the end of his life, he shared with us that his favorite verse was Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". His strength, courage, and determination is an inspiration to us all.
The family will remember Keith in a private memorial service. To honor Keith, you can contribute in his memory to WVMC, Mansfield Christian, or The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center.
Wappner Cremation Center is honored to serve the family of Keith Herdman.
