Born December 10, 1935, in East Liverpool, Ohio, he was the seventh of ten children of the late Robert Lewis and Hazel Esther (Pollock) Edgell. Ken proudly served his country during the Korean War with the US Marine Corps. He enjoyed listening to all genres of music and going to the racetrack. He was an avid reader in his free time. Ken was a huge sports fan and cheered on the Cleveland Guardians, OSU football and Pittsburgh Steelers.
He is survived by three children, Stephanie (Jim) Sholes, Kathy (Marty) Judy and Brian (Hope) Edgell; ten grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren; four sisters, Dorothy “Jean” Tomlison, Sondra Hague, Carolyn Pallard and Linda Sullivan; many nieces and nephews; and multiple great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings.
