Kenny had an amazing character and a delightful sense of humor. He had an infectious laugh that was one of a kind and could fill a room. There were no strangers in Kenny’s eyes. He could find conversation wherever he went. He was known for “flying by the seat of his own pants”. Kenny was never seen without a watch on his wrist. He never came across a watch that was too large, or that had too much gold on it. His jokes and his clever character could brighten anyone’s day. His genuine personality and his warm heart were the traits that made Kenny a joy to be around. He was rarely seen without a smile on his face or engaged in discussion. Wanderlust was one of his most prominent qualities. He loved the southern states and being by the beach. Vacationing was a priority in Kenny’s life, as long as there was no agenda. His favorite way to travel was to take road trips with his son. On their many road trips, Kenny’s beloved pastime was to find local, hole in the wall food establishments off of the beaten path along the way to wherever they were going.
His only child, Jake, was his world. Kenny devoted his life to raising Jake and assuring that he was always taken care of. Kenny never missed an event that Jake was involved in, whether it be academics, sports or anything in between. He was unquestionably Jake’s number one fan. He made sure that everyone was up to date on what was going on in his son’s life. Kenny never forgot to include Jake in his cherished conversations.

In his later years at school, Kenny learned the entrepreneurship of brokering college textbooks from a friend. He continued to pursue this business throughout his life.

He was also involved in coaching any sport his son was playing. He passed his obsession of sports down to Jake and it became a valued pastime of theirs. He could always fit a ball game in to his schedule, wherever he was. To say that Kenny absolutely cherished Alabama football would be an understatement.
