Kenneth Duane La Fave

Kenneth Duane La Fave, 72, passed away on July 11, 2017 after an extended illness. He was born in Wyoming, MI on December 18, 1944 to George and Margaret La Fave, where he graduated from Wyoming Park High School in the class of 1963. Ken loved sports and participated in football and basketball.

He was employed at Kelvinator for many years and was also an insurance agent. He will be remembered by his family and friends as a loving, kind and compassionate man. He touched the lives of many and will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Margaret La Fave. He is survived by his wife, Linda La Fave; his sons by a former marriage, Brian (Shauna), Brad (Janet) and Jeff La Fave; step son, Russell Penney; granddaughter, Chelsea; grandsons, Adam, Arik and Austin LaFave. Ken was blessed with nine siblings, five sisters and four brothers and many loving relatives.

A gathering of friends and family will be from 12:00-1:00 pm on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St. A memorial service conducted by Ken's brother, Pastor Jerry La Fave will follow immediately at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to OhioHealth Hospice, 335 Glessner Ave. Mansfield, OH 44903 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
