Kenneth E. Nikolaus, 47, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 22, 2004 at home. He was born January 28, 1957 to the late Robert G. and Maxine Ryder Nikolaus, living in Mansfield all his life. He was a 1975 graduate of Madison High School, held an associate degree in accounting from North Central State College and was the owner of Nikolaus Accounting Service, 2730 Lexington Avenue. Kenneth was a member of the Elks Lodge in Lexington, Sons of Herman. He was an avid Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeye fan.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Rebecca Nikolaus; two grandchildren, Austin and Wyatt Strong; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Connie Nikolaus and Robert and Jo Nikolaus both of Mansfield; and three nephews, Michael, Brian, and Matthew Nikolaus. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1 at 2:00 p.m. at The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Madison Summer Baseball.
