
Leo T. Hoffman, 73, of 1505 Smith Road, Ashland, and 24 Canel Way, Okeechobee, Fla. died after a courageous battle with cancer and went home to be with his Lord and Savior and to serve with Him forever on September 1, 2005.
He was born April 29, 1932 in Clyde, Ohio, the son of John and Edith Culler Hoffman.
Leo retired from Spector Freight Lines and owned and operated VACA Cut Botel in Marathon, Florida.
He was a member of Nova Jesus Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
He was also a lifetime member of the Marathon Moose Lodge and an avid fisherman.
Leo is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Dorothy Kreager Hoffman; loving father to seven children and their spouses, Tim and Cindy Hoffman of Ashland, OH, Tom and Diane Hoffman of Ashland, OH, Tina and Richard Stiglitz of O'Brian, FL, Tony and Sandra Hoffman of Perrysville, OH, Tracy and Kathy Hoffman of Port St. Lucie, FL, Troy and Sonja Hoffman of New London, OH and Tammy and Keith Daniels of Marathon, FL. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and four brothers and three sisters-in-law, John Hoffman of Clyde, OH, Charlie and Sue Hoffman of Clyde, OH, Frank and Helen Hoffman of Fremont, OH and Chris and Judy Hoffman of Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Ethel and Roman Fisher of Fremont, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Edward, Timothy, Louie and Dale Hoffman; a sister, Mary Hoffman and an infant child.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2005 at Jesus Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Nova, with Father Ron Bryda. Burial will be in Ashland County Memorial Park.
Friends may call Monday, September 5, 2005 from 6-9 p.m. at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors.
