Leroy W. Holcomb, 76, Mansfield, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, following an extended illness. He was born April 19, 1924 in Marion, Ohio living in Mansfield all of his life. He retired from Mike Volk Company. Mr. Holcomb served in the U.S. Navy serving in WWII, and was a life member of the VFW #9934, and Sheet Metal Union Local #70-33.
He is survived by a son, Robert W. Marsh of Mansfield, Ohio, two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon & John Deel, Billie & Bob Hiles, six grandchildren, Robert Hiles, Robert Harris Jr., Tim & Matthew Deel, Bobby Lynn Marsh, and Robert Neal Marsh, one great-grandchild; Kera Marie Hiles. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy E. Marsh Holcomb.
There will be no calling or services held at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Contributions may be made to the Disabled American Veterans.
