Lillian L. Murray, 83, of Mansfield, died Monday, October 11, 2010, at MedCentral Mansfield. Born August 31, 1927, in Springfield, Ohio, she was the daughter of Charlie and Maleetha Massey Cornell. A graduate of Union High School, Lillian was an active member of Cook Road Baptist Church, loved to read and was an excellent cook and baker. She was proud of her American Indian heritage, loved and cherished her family and had a great love for animals.
Surviving are her husband for more than 65 years, Arthur Murray; two daughters, Penny BA Hill and Barbara Bob Watts; her dog, Gabby the puglet; and Lovey, her calico cat. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters and brothers, Hazel, Howard, Raymond, Harley, Eloise and Delbert; and a cousin, Junior.
Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2010, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 15, 2010, at Cook Road Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Jack Hackworth. Burial will follow in Caesarea Cemetery.
