Linda Funk

Linda J. Smith Funk, 61, of Ashland, died Monday morning, February 6, 2006, at Samaritan Regional Health System. She was born July 12, 1944 in Ashland, the daughter of Ralph E. and Betty J. Gerwig Smith. A lifelong resident of Ashland, Linda retired from Abbott Labs where she worked in the medical tubing department. She was a member of the Ashland and Wayne Counties Ohio Genealogical Society and the Eagles Club Auxiliary.

Surviving are a son, Donovan E. Funk of Ashland; two nieces and their husbands, Kelly J. and John Rogers of Franklin, OH and Tracy L. and Mark Vogel of Westerville, OH; a brother-in-law, Arthur Mackey of Ashland; several cousins and good friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Sally Mackey.

Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors where Eagles services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, February 9, 2006 at the funeral home with Pastor Ben Roby officiating. Burial will be in Ashland County Memorial Park.
