Linda Simpson

Linda Lou (Beery) Simpson, 68, of Mansfield, passed away late Monday evening, June 1, 2015, at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home. She was born July 15, 1946, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late George W. and Dorothy (Hively) Beery.

Linda graduated from Mansfield Senior High school had worked for Therm-O-Disc and Essex Wire/Stevens Corp.. Her primary occupation throughout the years was being a wonderful homemaker. She was a very private, conservative and gracious lady, who led by example. Linda enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, listening to 50s, 60s and Country Western music and visiting with her friends on the phone. She collected frogs and took great pride in caring for her yard. In her younger years, she enjoyed golfing with her husband, Edward. She was a past member of the Sons and Daughters of Herman, Lodge #13 and #14.

Linda is survived by a step daughter, Vicki (Rottie) Payne of Huron, OH; two step sons, Jeffrey (Joyce) Simpson of Mansfield, OH and Thomas (Diane) Simpson of Huron, OH; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Bob (Pat) Beery of Bellville, OH; and good friends Tammy and Joe Wright of Galion, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Edward L. Simpson; parents; and infant sister, Sue Beery.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 20, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. in Mansfield Cemetery, 389 Altamont Avenue, Mansfield.
