Linda Stout

Linda C. Stout, 64, of Mansfield, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, November 1, 2005 at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital. Born July 3, 1941 in Bluefield, Virginia, she was the daughter of Richard and Beulah Tucker Compton. She attended the Hillside First Church of God. Mrs. Stout enjoyed bingo, and loved her family.

She is survived by four children and their spouses, Vicki and Chris Galland of Smyrna, Tennessee, Christy and Naamon Young, Kimberly Stout, all of Mansfield, and Clifford Stout, Jr., of Smyrna, Tennessee; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard 'Wayne' Compton, and Dennis Compton, both of Mansfield; three sisters and brother-in-law, Dixie Kiser of Mansfield, Marilyn and Ted Kirk of Florida, and Sandra Caudill of Loudonville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford G. Stout, Sr. on January 19, 2003, and her parents.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2005 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Glenn M. Phillips. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
