
Lois A. Rose, 80, of Mansfield passed away early Friday morning, September 7, 2018, at her home. She was born December 15, 1937, in Clintwood, Virginia, to the late Auldie and Leanora (Scarberry) Fleming.
Lois loved the Lord and was a very devoted Christian. Her family was her top priority and she enjoyed every moment spent with them. Lois enjoyed being outdoors, camping and fishing. Reading, crocheting, and mowing her lawn were favorite ways to spend her free time. Lois was a member of Freewill Baptist churches her entire life and enjoyed singing gospel at the church. She was a member of the Rose Quartet.
She is survived by five children, Anna (Gordon) Rachel, Delmon Jr. (Shelia) Rose, Randy (Renee`) Rose, Sharon (Marvin) Stapleton, and Chris Senokozlieff; fourteen grandchildren, Lee, Jason and Ben Rachel, Jonathon and Aaron Rose, Randy Rose, Heather Callahan, Jeremy, Joshua and Shannon Stapleton, Brittney, and Megan Rose, and Derek and Gabriel Senokozlieff; thirty-one great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary (Lee) Stewart; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Delmon Rose Sr. whom she married on April 9, 1955; four brothers, Valfred, Alfred, Tommy and Ronald Fleming; a sister, Beatrice Swindall; a son-in-law, Gary Senokozlieff; and a nephew, Gary Swindall.
The family will receive friends from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, September 10, 2018, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with her grandson, Pastor Aaron Rose officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Oak Grove Memorial Park.
