

Loretta Orma Goodwin, 79, passed in death Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Life Care Hospice in Wooster, Ohio. After a long battle with breast cancer and dementia, she is now at peace with her Heavenly Father after being surrounded by her family as she passed.
Loretta had found her life's calling and her joy in taking care of others as was shown in her early days as a nurse's aide and then as a wonderful mother to Ron and Leisa Gibson. She was a devoted and loving wife to husband, Glen "Joe" Goodwin-her greatest love-who had passed from lung cancer on April 2, 2008.
Loretta is survived by her much cherished children, Ron (Sandy) Gibson and Leisa (Brian) Gibson; her grandchildren, James (Jessica) Rogers, Lauren (Robert) Rogers, Stephanie and Stacie Gibson; and a special blessing of her first great-grandson, Levi Rogers, born in January 2019. Also surviving are the family of Joe Goodwin-John (Deb) Goodwin, Nancy (Lloyd) Fulton, Kevin (Tracy) Parsons and their children: Chuck, Sheri, John, Tim, Mike, Dustin, Tiffani, Kelsi and Kayci.
Loretta's parents, Charles Basil Gwinn and Flora Ada Hanlin of West Virginia, together had eleven children: Mary (Chuck) Stephens, Helen (Bob) Francis, Barbara (Bob) McCaffrey, Betty (Harless) Stepp, Sue (Gene) Short, Lloyd (Kim) Gwinn and those siblings who preceded her in death: Herman (Juanita) Gwinn, John (Martha) Gwinn, James Gwinn and Johnny Boyles.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. The funeral service conducted by Pastor Tim Marang will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in Mansfield Cemetery.
