Loretta Viola Peyton

Loretta Viola Peyton, 75, passed away at her Mansfield residence Sunday, July 7, 2024. She was born September 15, 1948 to Harold and Ida (Shireman) Sellers in Butler, Ohio. Loretta grew up in the Loudonville area and was one of six children. She graduated in 1966 from Loudonville High School.

Loretta was hardworking, but very giving of her time and attention to family and friends. She has one daughter and loved having all her family over for holidays and special events. She enjoyed bingo, casinos, and lottery scratch offs.

Loretta is survived by her daughter, Luella (Danny) Gipson; siblings, Dawn Grow and Duane Sellers; grandchildren, Skylar (Lacey) Garris, Jensen (Jeremiah) Blevins, Samantha (Braden) Harrod, and Angie (Shala) Garris; stepchildren, Jason Peyton and Lisa Peyton; great-grandchildren, Jaylynn, Breyden, and Paisley Garris, Landon and Charlotte Blevins, Alayna Blevins, Ariyah Burdett, and Addilyn Fultz; and several step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert “Bob” Lee Peyton; and siblings Louis Sellers, Sheila Ousley, and Iris Stewart.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, July 12, 2024 at Mansfield Cemetery at 1:00 PM. A Reception will follow at Danny and Luella’s home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research.
