
Lucille Ward, 59, of Mansfield died October 26, 2003 at Crystal Care Center of Ashland. Lucille went home to be with the Lord Sunday after an extended illness. She was born October 5, 1944 in Grundy, Virginia to Stewart and Leota Stiltner McCoy. Lucille was an area homemaker most of her life. She was a member of First Assembly of God.
She is survived by five children, Jean Hall, Willie Hall and Sue Hall, all of Mansfield, Roger McCoy of Mt. Vernon and Nathan McCoy of Florida; six grandchildren; four brothers, Eugene McCoy, David McCoy, Ronald McCoy and Wayne McCoy, all of Mt. Vernon; four sisters, Glance Kelly of Mansfield, Lois Thorpe and Sue Miller, both of Mt. Vernon, and Georgie Chandler of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Mike and Helen and loving dog, Ginger. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Ward in October 2000; brothers, Joe McCoy and Ranald McCoy; and sister, Nan Thompson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 28 at 10:30 a.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, conducted by Pastor Ross Wiseman. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
