
M. Jane Neumeister Bright, 94, formerly of Lucas, died Thursday, February 15, 2007, in Meadowbrook Care Center, Montgomery, after a long illness. She was born December 5, 1912, in Upper Sandusky to E.G. and Mary Paessler Neumeister, and was a graduate of Upper Sandusky High School. Before her marriage, she worked for many years in retail sales at her family's business, Neumeister's Bakery. After her marriage, she devoted her time to her family. She loved gardening and spending time outside. She served as a Girl Scout leader for Troop 399 in Lucas.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Nancy Bright of Mason; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and J.C. Pennington of Belton, Texas; four grandchildren, Scott Pennington of Los Angeles, California, Erin Pennington of Belton, Texas, Chad Bright of Chicago, Illinois, and Logan Bright of Mason; sister, Ruth Kocher of Middlefield Village; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bright in 1990; her parents; three sisters; and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Lucas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Kingwood Center, 900 Park Ave. West, Mansfield, Ohio 44906 or Meadowbrook Care Center, 8211 Weller Rd., Montgomery, Ohio 45242.
