Mabel M. Hartman, 95, of Mansfield, died Thursday, July 8, 2010 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. Born November 13, 1914 in Johnsville, she was the daughter of Riley W. and Amanda Mulburg Earick. She worked at Mapco from 1967 to 1982 and farmed for 50 years. Mabel loved to fish at Lake Erie and garden. Picking fruits and berries was an activity she truly enjoyed. She was a member of First Assembly of God.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Martha and Woody Holland, Thelma and Joe Stimens, Carl Hartman, and Sharon and Allen Easter; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; sister, Hazel Bush; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death in 1965 by her husband, Loyal W. Hartman, whom she married in 1931; son, Donald W. Hartman; sister, Goldie Fredrick; and three brothers, Robert, LeRoy, and Paul Earick.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 12, 2010 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Lee Thomas. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
