Magdalene Blevins

Magdalene Cole Blevins, 70, of Mansfield, died Saturday, December 2, 2006 at her home after an extended illness. Born July 30, 1936 in Carter County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of William and Virgie Dean Cole. Mrs. Blevins attended the Hanna Road Church of God. She loved her family and the church.

She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, William Jr. and Theresa Blevins of Brandon, Florida, James and Diana Blevins, and Jerry and Missy Blevins, all of Mansfield; one daughter and son-in-law, Jeannett and Larry Peters of Mansfield; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Willard Cole, Troy Cole, Eugene Cole, Wade Cole, and Clayton Cole, all of Mansfield; and two sisters, Martha Phillips of Mansfield, and Edna Carroll of Lucas. She was preceded in death by her husband on June 19, 1996, William G. Blevins, whom she married July 2, 1954; her parents; two brothers, Arthur Cole, and Chester Cole; and two sisters, Juanita Cole, and Anna Conn.

Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Wayne Castle and Rev. Floyd Scaggs. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery.
