Marcella Sauder

Marcella Irene Sauder, 85, passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 at Country View of Sunbury. Born August 15, 1926 in Bluffton, Indiana, she was the daughter of Amos and Mary May (Gerber) Steffen. She graduated from Milford High School in Indiana and was a Mansfield area homemaker most of her life. Marcella was a member of the Illinois Avenue Apostolic Christian Church. She volunteered her time at Mansfield General Hospital and the American Red Cross. She was retired as a bookkeeper from the Tumbleweed Western Store in Mansfield. She treasured her family and loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Sauder; four sons, Douglas C. (Barbara) Sauder of Dublin, OH, Dr. Russell A. (Wendy) Sauder of Charlotte, NC, Melvin J. (Carol) Sauder of Mesa, AZ, and Dr. Stanley E. (Judy) Sauder of Westerville, OH; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Marcella was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Moser; and two brothers, Louis and Luther Steffen.

Friends and family may visit from 5-8 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2012 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. A funeral service will be held at the Apostolic Christian Church, 84 N. Illinois Avenue on Tuesday, August 21 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Lantz Cemetery.
