Margaret Karbula, 86, of Logan Rd. in Mansfield died at Wade Park Medical Center on Thursday, May 17 after a brief illness. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on October 18, 1914, to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Karbula. Margaret was retired from the food service division of Mansfield General Hospital. She was a member of Grace Brethren Church. She was a veteran of World War II serving in the Women's Air Corps.
Survivors include two brothers, George Karbula of Galion and William Karbula of South Carolina; four sisters, Anna Clark of Bucyrus, Ruth Dillon of Sebring, Florida, Kathryn Mangan of Ft. Myers, Florida, Rebecca Ortman of South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, four brothers, Adam, David, Albert and Joseph Karbula, three sisters, Esther Johnson, Mary Reis, Elisabet Boles all preceded her in death.
Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Monday, May 21 from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Lester A. Vnasdale of Marion Avenue Grace Brethren Church on Tuesday, May 22 at 1:00 p.m. Military graveside services will be held at Mansfield Cemetery.
