Marie Nolasco

Marie Antoinette Nolasco, 80, of Mansfield, died January 28, 2007. She passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home. Born October 21, 1926, in Pittston, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of Antonio and Michelina Pisano Neare. Marie enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. A Mansfield area housewife most of her life, she was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.

She is survived by six children, Tomás J. & Cathy Nolasco of VA, Micaela M. & Mike Curtis, Juan J. & Cheryl Nolasco, Juanita & Mark Carper, Linda L. Nolasco and Mercedes T. & Marc Smith, all of Mansfield; eight grandchildren, Tonya Brown, René Nolasco, Juan C. Nolasco, David Stirtzinger, Nina Nolasco, Danielle Nolasco, Dwight Nolasco and Courtney Smith; several great-grandchildren; and sister, Angie & George Garnette of Wyoming, PA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Juan C. Nolasco, sisters, Annie Paciotti and Flora Rustay, brother, Louis A. Neare, and special grandson, Michael Nolasco.

Friends may call Wednesday, January 31, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Father John Brennen. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.
