Marilyn Petty

Marilyn was a quiet, generous woman who treasured the time spent with her family and was involved in raising her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She retired from Mansfield Memorial Homes.

She is survived by a brother, Frank (Eileen) Petty of Mansfield; a sister, Mary Bryant of Westerville; a sister-in-law, Beulah Petty; and many beloved nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Quinn Petty; parents, Dewey and Mary (Fletcher) Petty; sisters, Cleo Petty, Mabel Petty, Pearlene Petty and Anita Walton; and brothers, James, Sam, John “Dude” and Sylvester Petty.

A funeral service will be held Friday, May 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Friends and family may visit beginning at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Ronald Jester and Rev. Clarence Sanderfer will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Richland County.
