Marjorie A. Townsend, 67, of 2075 Random Drive passed away Saturday morning January 15, 2000 at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home following an extended illness. Mrs. Townsend was born April 22, 1932 in Canton, Ohio to Melvin & Dorothy Easterday Gross. Marjorie was also a member of the First Congregational Church in Mansfield.
Surviving are one son Robert Townsend of Rocky River, Ohio and two daughters Carolyn Bromagen of Bexley, Ohio and Elizabeth Grant of Miamisburg, Ohio; six grandchildren; and one brother Larry Gross of Wisconsin. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother Ronald Gross.
The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday January 19, 2000, in the parlor room at the First Congregational Church from 1:00 until 2:30, a memorial service will follow at 2:30 at the church conducted by Rev. Clifford D. Schutjer. Memorial Contributions may be made the Mansfield Art Center. Wappner Funeral Directors will be handling the arrangements.
