Mark A. Cains, 40, of 304 E. Second St. died early Monday morning February 7, 2000 at his residence following an eight month illness. Mr. Cains was born April 9, 1959 in Mansfield and has resided in the area all of his life. Mr. Cains was an auto mechanic at Buckeye Auto Center. Surviving are his wife, Helen Fields Cains; two daughters, Samantha and Holly Cains of Mansfield; four brothers & sisters-in-law, Paul & Theresa Cains of Mansfield, Tim & Tracie Cains, Matt & Kelly Cains, and Danny & Lori Cains all of Houston, Texas; his parents, Paul & Donna Cains of Houston, Texas; and numerous aunts & uncles. His brother, John Cains, preceded him in death. Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Wednesday February 9, 2000 from 6-8:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Thursday February 10, 2000 at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Rev. J. Hudson Thayer and Rev. Lester A. Vnasdale. Burial will be held in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
