

Mark Steven Fisher, 47, of Ontario died unexpectedly Wednesday February 16, 2005. Born August 6, 1957 in Mansfield, he was the son of Robert and Alma Brock Fisher. Mark was the Chief Financial Officer of Edge Plastics, Mansfield. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Bowling Green State University and an MBA from The Ohio State University. He was a member of The First English Lutheran Church, where he acted as mentor for his sons' confirmation classes. Mark coached youth basketball at the Friendly House where he was a member of the Board of Directors. He was a past member of Leadership Unlimited. A family man who was extremely involved in all of his children's activities, Mark was a loving, caring husband, father, and employer.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Shelley Eckstein Fisher; two sons, Bryce and Travis Fisher; one daughter, Arianna Fisher; parents, Robert and Alma Fisher; sister, Jana Fisher of Indianapolis, Indiana; brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Mary Fisher of Bartow, Florida; two nieces, Corey and Shelby Fisher of Bartow, Florida; father-in-law, David Eckstein of Mansfield; and brother-in-law, Jerry Eckstein of Shelby. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Marilyn Eckstein.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday February 18, 2005 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 19 at The First English Lutheran Church, 53 Park Ave. West conducted by The Rev. Paul L. Larson and The Rev. Andrew W. Jones. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Tiro. A youth memorial service will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. at The First English Lutheran Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mark S. Fisher Scholarship Fund for an Ontario graduate in care of the Richland County Foundation.
