Martha Jane Leiter

Martha had a big heart for others and was always willing to lend a helping hand. A sweet lady who was caring and generous but had a feisty fun side as well. She married the love of her life, Gerald Leiter on November 8, 1947 in Galion and spent 60 blessed years together. She enjoyed playing bingo at Brethren Care and was a superior baker. Martha was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Leiter and Susan Eighinger; grandchildren, Geoff Eighinger and Kaysi (Bruce) Keller; a great-grandchild, Madelyn Jane Keller all of Ashland; and a good friend, Steve Eighinger of Quincy, Illinois. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Leiter; a brother, Marty Foy; and her sisters, Mary Foy and Marge Sowash.

Friends and family may call from 1:00-3:00 pm on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road. A graveside service will follow at 3:30pm at Greenlawn-Crestline Cemetery. As Martha was very generous to others, please consider making a memorial contribution to Hospice of North Central Ohio or Brookwood Place at Brethren Care.
