Martha Schulte

Martha J. 'Marty' Schulte, 89, died Saturday, September 24, 2005, at Winchester Terrace Nursing Home. On this day, our Heavenly Father came to take Martha to Heaven to shine down on all of us her beautiful way of life that will live on for eternity. Born May 20, 1916, in Loudonville, she was the daughter of Jacob Melcher and Esther Mae Green Etzwiler. Marty retired from Richland County Children's Services. She enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking, and gardening. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many friends at Winchester Terrace who will all miss her dearly.

She is survived by her children, Carol A. Stitzel of Ashland, Dr. Earl A. Jenice Schulte of Hutchinson, Kansas, Merle Janet Schulte of Mansfield, Dean M. Schulte Lilly Murphy of Diamond, Illinois, and Donna M. Ernest 'Duke' Barley of Mansfield; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; brother, Jacob M. Evelyn Etzwiler of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Michael Schulte in 1971; brother, Earl Etzwiler; sisters, Alta Cairns, Mary Hindman, and Florence Broach; granddaughter, Dawn M. Schulte; and son-in-law, Warren L. Stitzel.

Friends may call Monday, September 26 from 6-8 p.m. at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors and also one hour prior to the funeral service to be held Tuesday at 1:00 p.m., officiated by her grandson, Rev. Steven Schulte and Rev. Christopher Thomas. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
