
Mary Lou Bogner, 86, of Mansfield, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008 at her home. Born February 8, 1922 in Tiro, Ohio, she was the daughter of W.W. and Irene Alexander Davis. Along with her husband, Harry, she owned and operated The Diamond Laundry for many years. Mary Lou graduated from Tiro High School and attended the Apostolic Christian Church on Middle Bellville Rd. She enjoyed cats, visits to Tiro, singing, plants and flowers, birds and little wild creatures, garage sales, poetry, Kingwood Center, and watching The Andy Griffith Show. Mary Lou also enjoyed discussing scientific and philosophical topics. But above all else, she loved her family very, very much. "You're the Greatest, Mom".
She is survived by four children, Roderick Bogner, Jacob Bogner, Bradley Erin Bogner, all of Mansfield, and Gilbert Elyse Bogner of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren, Amanda Jason Chapman, Jared, Alison, all of Mansfield, and Harry Bogner of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; sister, Helen Walker of Delaware, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harry H. Bogner in July 2003; and brothers, Gayle and Wallace Davis.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 10, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by the Apostolic Christian Church. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
