Mary Buker

Mary Ann Shultz Buker, 73, of Mansfield, died Thursday, January 16, 2003 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Buker was born October 15, 1929 in Mansfield, Pennsylvania, residing in Mansfield, Ohio for the past 50 years. She retired as a dental assistant to her husband in his own dental practice. She had also worked in real estate with Tom Mattox and Sluss Realty; she later worked at Stein Mart until they closed. Mrs. Buker was a member of Cross Roads Church. Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with her family and serving her church.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Drs. John and Pat Buker of Lexington, Kentucky; Jim and Julie Buker of Mansfield and Scott Buker of Tampa, Florida; one stepson, Bill Buker of Sunbury, Ohio; one stepdaughter, Jean Robinson of Atlanta, Georgia; eight grandchildren, Ben, Carol, Jenni, Jessie, Ethan, Willa, John and Katie; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Carol and Art Hicks of Fredericktown, Ohio; and Linda Hawkins of Westerville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlton and Mabel Shultz; and her husband, Wallace D. Buker D.D.S. in 1997.

Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors one hour prior to a 7:00 p.m. funeral service on Monday, January 20, 2003. Burial will be in Mansfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Crossroads Church.
