Mary Opal Conn

She moved to Mansfield at the age of 19 along with her husband and worked for Hi-Stat Stoneridge for many years as a Supervisor. She loved to read, fish, garden and travel with her sisters, especially on cruises. She was a loving and kind person who took care of everyone, always giving unconditional love. She was a mother to many and never met a stranger. Her family, especially her grandchildren, were the light of her life and she was the glue that held everyone together.

She is survived by two sons, Jackie (Beth) Conn and Jason Conn; two grandchildren, Jack and Aubrey Conn; five siblings, Roger Bond, Lester Bond, Judy Stone, Betty Bailey and Virgie Carroll; brothers-in-law, Hank Stricklan and Lewis Stigall; sisters-in-law, Nettie Bond, Shirley Bond and Sherri Bond; numerous nieces and nephews; and her Hi-Stat family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie "Dick" Conn on July 4, 2015; and siblings, Jackie, Charles, Phillip, Danny, Elmer, Zelma, Rema, Stella and Esta.

Friends may call from 4:00 -7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 South Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2017 at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Mathew Pond. Burial will follow in Windsor Cemetery. Friends may also call one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home on Friday.
