

Mary Jo Durbin, 90, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016, at Arbors of Mifflin after a short illness. She was born February 5, 1926, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Harry and Gladys (Huff) Becker and attended Mansfield City schools.
On November 22, 1942, Mary Jo married Virgil H. "Porky" Durbin in Napoleon, Ohio and celebrated 52 years of marriage prior to his passing in 1995. During her life, she worked at Borden's and Morgan Cleaners in Mansfield, and retired from the Wool Co. in St. Petersburg, Florida. Mary Jo enjoyed watching the birds, eating at Red Lobster and afternoon car rides.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Milliron (Rick Schoonover) and Patricia Steward (Earl Steward), both of Mansfield; sister, Carol Miller of Mansfield; brother-in-law, Hank Smith of Michigan; grandchildren, Debra (David) Derrenberger, Beth (Monte) Mertens, Stephen Henry, and Matthew Hamilton; six great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sisters, Ruth Jackson and Ellen Smith.
