Mary Hess

Mary Lou Hess, 70, of 1466 Timber Road died Wednesday February 16, 2000 at MedCentral Mansfield after a long illness.  Mrs. Hess was born December 13, 1929 in Marietta, OH and has resided in the area most of her life.  She retired from Daugherty's Restaurant after 20 years of service.  Mrs. Hess was a member of the Hillside First Church of God. Surviving are her husband, Billy W. Hess, to whom she married on June 5, 1954; two sons & daughters-in-law, Roger & Jennie Schulties of Lexington and Randy & Marcie Hess of Mansfield; four daughters & sons-in-law, Marsha & Mike Gill of Mansfield, Rhonda & Ray Gatten of Mansfield, Billie Jo Dotson & Tom Elliott of Mansfield, and Amy & Jeff Miller of Lucas; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother & sister-in-law, Ralph & Jeanne Thomas; and two sisters & brothers-in-law, Shirley & Den Armstrong and Trudy & Gary Huss all of Mansfield.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold & Goldie Thomas; and one grandson, Tracy Mosier. Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors Thursday February 17, 2000 from 7-9 p.m. and one hour prior to funeral services which will be held Friday February 18, 2000 at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m., conducted by Pastor Glenn Phillips.  Burial will be held in Mansfield Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Hillside First Church of God.
