Mary Schenian

Mary Jean Schenian, 58, of Mansfield, died Friday, May 11, 2012 at MedCentral Mansfield. Born January 20, 1954 in Crestline, she was the daughter of James and Jeanne (Brandt) Hunt. A homemaker, Mary was a handy woman who could fix most anything. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening, and kept an immaculate yard. Mary had a giving heart and always wanted to help everybody, and her sweet personality, wonderful laugh, and beautiful smile lightened everyone’s day. She loved animals, especially her dog Molly.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Schenian of Mansfield; children, Carey (Ben) Phelps of Florida, Matthew (Shelly) McCready of Columbus, Rachel (James) Kastran of Mansfield, Beth (Mike) Riegel of Lexington, Jill (Todd) Vanausdle of Mansfield, and Jeff Schenian (fiancée, Andrea Jeckering) of Arizona; grandchildren, Jack and Lily Kastran, Grace and Mitch Riegel, and Adam and Audrey Vanausdle; her mother, Jeanne Hunt of Crestline; sisters, Vickie (Terry) Leatherow of Ontario and Kathy (Tom) Sipes of Galion; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.

Friends may call Wednesday, May 16, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario.
