Mary Shaw

Mary Gale Gump Shaw, 63, of Mansfield died Monday, September 10, 2001, at 12:00 noon at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. She was born October 12, 1937, in Mannington, West Virginia to William and Sina Hayes Gump. She was a homemaker and had been an area resident since 1954. Mary attended Dean Road Freewill Baptist Church. She was also a member of V.F.W. Post #9943 Auxiliary and a lifetime member of AmVets Post #31 Auxiliary.

In addition to her husband, Gilbert W. Shaw, whom she married June 19, 1954, she is survived by a son, Roger Shaw of Mansfield; a daughter, Donna Partin of Mansfield; two grandchildren, Crystal and David Spillman; two brothers, Bob and Jim Gump, both of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; two sisters, Betty Lucas of Sunbury, Ohio, and Barbara Kent of Mt. Vernon, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Sina Gump, two brothers, Everett & John Gump, one sister, Freda Neely, and one son, Allen Ray Shaw. Friends may call at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Thursday, September 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Virgil Masters. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
