Mary E. Switzer

Mary was a great mom and an extraordinary grandmother. She would do anything to brighten her grandchildren's day. Mary attended Mansfield Senior High and married Donald L. Switzer on March 24, 1951. Donald preceded in her in death in 1984 and he took a piece of her to heaven with him. She learned to love more openly and deeper in the 33 years after his death as she cherished his memory.

Mary is survived by her two daughters, Patricia Irvin of Huron, and Brenda Switzer of Mansfield; four grandchildren, Nathaniel and Natalie (Howard) Irvin of Germany; Adrienne Irvin of Phoenix, AZ, Kaitlin Irvin of Columbus, and Lee Switzer of Mansfield; two great-grandchildren, Garrett and Ellie Irvin; brother-in-law, Dennis Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings, Rose Grosso, Angelo D'Emillio, and Lena Walker.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill. A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Denis Wittenberger, will follow at 2:30, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mansfield Memorial Park. Contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
