
Michael A. Mosser, 54, of Norwalk, died August 3, 2010, at Stein Hospice in Sandusky. Born July 30, 1956, in Ashland, he was the son of Eugene and Marilyn Jean Case Mosser. He was a 1975 graduate of Crestview High School and had attended Pioneer Joint Vocational School. Michael was employed at Gebhart's Family Grooming Center as a barber for 27 years and had formerly taught Health and Physical Education at Hillsdale High School. He was a member of the Ohio National Guard, the Ohio Barbers Association, had attended Greenwich United Methodist Church and was a former member of Savannah United Methodist Church. Michael enjoyed landscaping and mowing his yard, interior designing, carpentry and selling real estate, but his greatest joy was being with his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy Deering Mosser of Norwalk; one daughter, Kara Joy Mosser at home; his father, Eugene Mosser of Ashland; one sister, Vicki Farnwalt and her fiancé, Donald Remley, Sr. of Shelby; his mother-in-law, Joan Deering of Norwalk; a niece, Tracy Farnwalt of Columbus; nephews, Ryan Farnwalt of Shelby and Randy Farnwalt of North Carolina; his step father, Paul A. Lifer of Ashland; and a step brother, Allen Adele Lifer of Ashland. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Jean Case Mosser-Lifer; his father-in-law, George Deering; his maternal grandfather, Albert Case; his maternal grandmother, Qwendolyn Case-Cowan; his paternal grandparents, Kyle and Evelyn Mosser; and a brother-in-law, Gary Farnwalt.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2010, at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 7, 2010, at Greenwich United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. James Gaston. Burial will follow in Greenwich Greenlawn Cemetery.
