Michael Lawrence Price, age 63, of Mansfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born on January 9, 1962, in Mansfield, he was the beloved son of the late Paul L. and Sandra (Hostetter) Price.
A proud graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, Class of 1980, Michael devoted over three decades of his life in service to the City of Mansfield, retiring as a highly respected mechanic. Known for his remarkable ability to fix just about anything, his hands were as skilled as his heart was kind.
Michael’s greatest joy came from his family. A devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather, he cherished the moments spent with his children and grandchildren above all else. Whether camping with family, working on his 1969 Pontiac GTO, or adding to his cherished model car collection and hot rod signs, Michael found joy in the simple things that brought people together. His generous spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering loyalty touched the lives of all who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 33 years, Lisa (Lester) Price; his five children: Samantha (Adam) Stone, Casey (Jessica) Price, Santana Price (Jacob Gibson), Kayla Price, and Dakota Price; eleven adored grandchildren: Ethan Cox, Adreanna Cox, Emma Cox, Paul Price, Brentley Price, Addi Price, Michael Schlupp, Natalie Schlupp, Kaeden Kegley, Isaiah Kegley, and Makennah Kegley; and one great-grandson, Miles Cox. He is also survived by his sister, Lisa Larck, and niece, Rachel Miller.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Sandra Price.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Michael’s life during visitation on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Dallas Waggle. He will be laid to rest at Mansfield Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Michael’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
