
Mildred B. 'Millie' King, 79, of Ashland, Ohio died Wednesday, August 30, 2000 at MedCentral Mansfield after an extended illness. She was born August 26, 1921 to Robert & Laura Anna Livingston Thompson in Toboso, Ohio. She was a member of the Moose Lodge #1383, VFW Post # 8586 of Ashland, Ohio and was a previous cook at Gray Drug Dutch Oven. She was retired from Jimmy's Café in Mansfield, Ohio.
She is survived by a special companion; Dewey Peyton of Ashland, Ohio; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert & Cindi Powers of Bellville, Ohio and Michael Powers of Mansfield, Ohio; two daughters, Sharon King of Mansfield, Ohio and Darlene Cooper of Hayesville, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Jim Powers, Heidi Powers, Robert Powers Jr., Dustin Powers, Megan Powers, Miki Powers, Michael Powers all of Mansfield, and Heather Cooper and Shawn Cooper of Hayesville, Ohio; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; two sisters Martha Rose VanWy, of Florida; and Elizabeth Jean Crothers of Newark, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, George Robert Thompson, Harry Herbert Thompson, Arthur William Thompson, Edward Everett Thompson; two sisters, Myrtle Ruth Davidson and Virginia Eileen Kincaid.
Friends may call the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, Monday, September 4, 2000 from 5-8 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, conducted by Pastor Jerry Wolleson. Memorial contributions may be made to the family or donors choice.
