
Mildred Louise Ferrell Miller, 86, of Ashland, Ohio passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Hospice House of Ashland. Born October 8, 1924 in Great Bend, Ohio, she was the daughter of William and Elsie Miller Ferrell. She was married to the late William R. Miller. Mildred worked for National Latex for 12 years and the Ashland School system for 15 years. She was a member of the Ashland Church of Christ. Mildred was a Cleveland Indians fan, enjoyed crocheting and had that special "green thumb" for plants.
She is survived by her late husband's children, William Roy Betsy and Marjorie Tom Puka Miller and their children; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; five brothers and one sister, William Donna Ferrell, Glen Janice Ferrell, Charles Ferrell, Robert Donna Ferrell, Richard Karen Ferrell and Jean Ed Keele Ferrell; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Mildred was preceded in death by her brothers, Kessel Birdie Ferrell and Jack Betty Ferrell; and her sisters, Marie Donald Hauck Ferrell, Elladene Leroy Watson Ferrell, Eloise Eugene Smith Ferrell and Florence Ferrell.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2011 at the Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 308 Claremont Avenue, Ashland. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2011 at the funeral home conducted by Minister Jeff Slater. Burial will follow in Ashland County Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ashland Church of Christ or to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
